A Multi-Level Marketing Product That is Actually Pretty Awesome? Yep! Life Leadership Edge Series Review
So...I'm not a multi-level marketing type of girl. I know some of you might be and I think that's awesome. But I'm not--like REALLY not. That is why it's a pretty big deal that I am writing a review for this Edge Series. So here's the story:
Meet Norman and his cute wife Kerry. Norman has been an especially good friend to our family. Self proclaimed red neck, elk hunter extraordinaire, maker of fabulous rolls, Scout master, best neighbor ever...you get the picture.
Norman was trying to get us to buy into the Life Leadership company. He knows that I like character building stuff and thought this series would be right up my alley. But I just wasn't interested.
a. I didn't need it--I have tons of resources
b. that it would be overpriced
c. it would be mediocre
d. blah, blah, blah.
Well, after lots of back and forth, we finally decided to sign up for this $11/month subscription--mainly to be nice and support Norman in his new venture. But I have to say that I have been pleasantly surprised. (Although I do still think it is a bit overpriced--sorry Norman!) Every month we get a new CD in the mail. These CDs are aimed at teenagers and have a talk on them about a great life lesson. They feature athletes, business owners, successful teens, or simply tell a story.
We listen to these CDs in the car as a family and then have a discussion about them. Although I haven't listened to all of them, I have been happy to note that they echo a lot of the character building messages that I try to teach my kids, and that I'll bet your try to teach yours, too. But isn't it nice having someone else teach your kids sometimes? I don't know about your kids, but sometimes--mine tune me out. Sad but true. That's why these cds are great--they get my message, but from a "cool" person that they are more willing to listen to sometimes! Mom for the win!
So Norman, I've got to hand it to you...you were right. ;)
I don't know about any of Life Leadership's other products, (and I'm not affiliated with them) but I know I like these cds. Norman has actually moved on to other opportunities, but my friend Bobby also sells these, so if you are interested in these and want to help an awesome sauce mom out, I'm sure she would love you forever! You can learn more about them here.
Community Question: Ok, you multi-marketing people, you--here's your chance! Comment below about what you sell and why you love it! Heck, put in a URL to your sales page while you're at it! (But only one comment per person, please.) :)
Hi, I'm Jen! I adore chocolate, I'd rather read than clean my house, and I haven't seen my abs in I-don't-know-how-long. But I love my husband and kids to death and try to Raise The Good within myself and my family by making wise and uplifting media choices and having a deliberate family culture. You are probably doing the same thing. Let's share what works with each other!
