This post is going to be a quick one, since I'm helping at a girls' camp and don't have much time. But as I've watch the marvelous women here, helping these teenage girls in our community find their way in life, I am struck again with how vital mentors can be in the lives of our kids.
Mentors are a fabulous tool in a parent's toolbox. There are a lot of reasons why, but here are a few:
Lazy summer days are so fun. Swimming, popsicles, playing with friends or cousins...
But sometimes, it's nice to come out of the sun and have some quiet time. I'm a big fan of reading, but sometimes it's nice to just veg and watch a short show. Here are some old, family friendly favorites that you may have forgotten about that make for a nice break. (Affiliate links are included.) These shows are a product of their time, so be sure to keep that in mind as you watch these.
