Christmas is a time of lights.
We put lights on Christmas trees and we light candles. We go on long drives in our neighborhoods and to different venues to see the beautiful lights others have put up. All of this is symbolic of the Light of the World and of His birth.
But there are different kinds of light, and there are ways that you and your family can bring light into this sometimes very dreary world.
That is why I am thrilled about this new advent calendar, #LightTheWorld. And I want to be a part of it.
In this calendar, every day there is a short video and a scripture about serving others, as well as a corresponding, practical challenge to act on what we read and watch. And it starts today!
Here is an example of Day 1:
You can find the entire 25 day calendar and videos here, and you can download a printable calendar here, so you can hang it on your fridge and work through it with your kids. Talk about a meaningful Christmas activity!
I have watched several of these videos and they make you feel all warm and fuzzy as you consider how you can help others this Christmas season. Imagine the impact we can make together. Please join me, as we #LightTheWorld.
Hi, I'm Jen! I adore chocolate, I'd rather read than clean my house, and I haven't seen my abs in I-don't-know-how-long. But I love my husband and kids to death and try to Raise The Good within myself and my family by making wise and uplifting media choices and having a deliberate family culture. You are probably doing the same thing. Let's share what works with each other!
