Do you know Mel?
If not, you should. She's great. She is one of the most important people in my life and I haven't even met her. (Um, that sounds pretty stalker-ish, doesn't it?)
Let me re-phrase that. Mel is an important asset to my ego.
See, I like food. Really, really good food without weird ingredients. And I make food to make people happy. And I make really, really great food so people can tell me how awesome of a cook I am. Therefore, the recipes I use need to be great, no-fail, and make me look amazing. (Humility is a virtue I'm still working on. ) ;)
Check, check and double check: Mel fits the bill every time.
Mel's Kitchen Cafe features recipes that real people can make, picky people will like, and that don't take a ton of time and artificial or fussy ingredients.
I am not exaggerating when I say that 90% of all the recipes I use come from Mel.
Here are some of my favorites--try them out! I know you'll love them, just like me and millions of others. (All photos are from www.melskitchencafe.com)
This is just a random sampling of what Mel offers. I didn't tell you about her cheeseball, the shrapnel dip, crispy chicken wraps, or the best roast chicken ever. I didn't even touch on her penne with roasted asparagus, pumpkin bars, brookies (brownie + a cookie) or her cheesecakes. Or her rolls (both cinnamon, orange, or dinner). Or the muffins. Or countless salads.
I'll just let you discover those for yourself.
Do you know Mel? What is your favorite recipe?
Hi, I'm Jen! I adore chocolate, I'd rather read than clean my house, and I haven't seen my abs in I-don't-know-how-long. But I love my husband and kids to death and try to Raise The Good within myself and my family by making wise and uplifting media choices and having a deliberate family culture. You are probably doing the same thing. Let's share what works with each other!
